The Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE) Futures Exchange (CFE) recently announced that it plans to launch futures contracts based upon median home prices announced in NAR's existing-home sales data. Futures contracts are financial investments in which a slight market change in the median price of existing homes could result in either a high return or a substantial loss.
